The beach is approximately 10 minutes (800 m/0.5 mi) away.
At the beach you find a rich array of water sport-activities. Called “Kemer-Beach”, this beach is popular with surfers; a constant wind provides nice waves and the sun worshiper enjoys a pleasant breeze.
Getting hungry? Right at the beach you find a small bar with light snacks and friendly service. Near the beach there are small restaurants and booths selling refreshments.
The next bigger place is Akyarlar. Eating fresh fish in one of the small restaurants just by the water is a delight, and a nocturnal visit of the village is highly recommended.
Who looks for more attractions, takes the short journey to Turgutreis. Turgutreis offers many souvenir-shops, and different restaurants serving local and international dishes. Turgutreis is full of stores selling clothes, accessories, and jewelry. And in one of the many supermarkets you can supply yourself with all things necessary for the time of your stay.
Feel like partying? In the evening there are many places to dance and lots of live-music.
Highly recommendable is a daytrip with one of the local Gulets (large, wooden sailing boat).
Times of departure can be inquired at the marina of Turgutreis.
An insider tip for the curious visitor is a trip to the bazaar on Saturdays. Marvel at the huge selection of fruits, vegetables, spices, local groceries, and all kinds of knickknacks. And even if you don’t feel like buying anything – the market vendor’s performance is always worth a visit.
Who is up for more excitement, takes a trip to Bodrum. Beside many ancient and culturally interesting places, you will find a very large marina with its characteristic ado. The range of cultural offers is very rich. Everything you find in Turgutreis, is multiplied here. The bazaar takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
